The Client

RoosterSock is a men's health brand solving a problem most guys won't talk about: post-urination dribble. Their tagline — "Stops The Drops" — says it all. The product is a reusable, washable, discreet wearable that absorbs post-void dribble so men can go about their day with confidence.

The founder had a finished product, a clear target audience, and a mission: make a solution that's as dignified as the problem deserves. What he didn't have was a store. Template platforms couldn't handle the custom product experience he needed, and agencies were quoting 6–8 weeks.

The Problem: RoosterSock needed a custom e-commerce site that treated a sensitive health product with credibility and confidence — not a generic template. The site had to handle Stripe payments, product variants, customer accounts, and order management, all wrapped in a premium dark-mode design that signaled quality.

The Brief

RoosterSock chose the Launch tier ($1,197) for a custom-designed, fully functional e-commerce experience. Here's what we scoped:

The Build

Phase One

Strategy + Design System

We started with the intake call to understand the product, the customer, and the positioning. The target buyer is a man dealing with a real health issue who wants a solution that doesn't feel medical or embarrassing. The messaging needed to be direct, confident, and respectful.

We built the brand design system around three colors: Midnight (#1B365D), Crimson (#8B1E3F), and Frosted (#F0F6FF). The dark Midnight base signals premium and seriousness. Crimson drives CTAs and energy. Frosted provides clean contrast for feature sections. Typography: Montserrat for headings, DM Sans for body text.

Phase Two

Design + Build

We built the full application in React with TypeScript and Vite — a complete e-commerce app with routing, state management, and a real backend. The cart system uses React Context with a custom CartProvider. Product data lives in Supabase (PostgreSQL), with product images served from Supabase Storage.

The hero section features a full-screen background video (separate assets for desktop and mobile) that immediately communicates the product's purpose. Below that: feature cards with smooth animations, a product section with image gallery and add-to-cart, and a testimonials section with customer reviews on the Midnight background.

Phase Three

Checkout, Testing + Launch

We wired up the full Stripe payment flow: checkout page, payment processing, success confirmation, and order history for returning customers. The Supabase backend handles order storage, customer accounts, and an admin dashboard with sections for orders, products, analytics, finance, content, discounts, and customer management.

We tested the complete purchase flow across devices, ran through the FAQ section to ensure every answer addressed real buyer concerns (discreet shipping was a top priority), and launched.

Design Decisions

Color Palette

The Midnight + Crimson palette was a deliberate choice. This is a health product — the design needs to feel credible and premium, not clinical or embarrassing. Dark backgrounds communicate seriousness and quality. The crimson accent drives action without feeling aggressive.

Key UX Decisions

Design Principle: A health product for men needs to feel confident, not clinical. The design should communicate "this is a premium solution" — not "this is a medical device." Visitors should feel empowered, not embarrassed.

What's Included at the Launch Tier ($1,197)

What's not included: product photography, copywriting (founder provided), inventory/fulfillment integrations, or ongoing support (available separately via care plans).

Results

RoosterSock launched with a complete, custom-built e-commerce experience — not a template, not a page builder, but a real React application with its own backend, payment processing, and admin tools.
